RV Camping Tips for Springtime
Camping out in the springtime can allow you to experience the beauty of the great outdoors in an entirely new way—as you’re able to watch nature revive out of a long winter slumber right before your eyes. However, if you’re going to camp sometime between March and June, we advise doing so from the safety of an RV. For helpful tips and advice on how to prepare for a spring RV camping trip, just check out the article below.
Prep Your RV
Before you load up your luggage and hit the road, you’ll need to make sure your RV is prepared for the upcoming cool spring nights. To begin, take a walk around the interior and exterior of your RV to see if there are any holes or cracks that need to be sealed. Next, we advise applying weather stripping around doors and windows, as well as investing in some heavy curtains to help better insulate your model.
What to Pack
On top of all the gear you’d normally pack for an RV camping trip, you’ll also want to bring a few items to help protect you from inclement weather. Be sure to pack a few sets of warm clothes for those cool spring nights—as well as a few heavy blankets for all of your passengers—and some waterproof rain gear in case of any unexpected downpours. We also recommend bringing along some allergy medication, as all of the pollen in the air can sometimes upset campers' allergies.
